To the orchard

We finally got to go to Boyd Orchards yesterday.  We had been trying to for about three weeks, but every time Bevil had a day off, it would rain.  The weather was beautiful yesterday, perfect for some apple picking! 

I had made Sophie a candy corn dress.  She wore it so she would be festive for our fall outing.  Here she is modeling it.

She loved all the pumpkins. 

We had to stop and get some apple pie and ice cream from their cafe. Yum!

 Sophie, of course, couldn't eat any pie, so she just relaxed and chomped on her teething toy.

 Heading out to pick apples.  Sophie had fun on the bumpy gravel road out to the orchard.  She was just a squealing.

 We had such a fun time at the orchard.  Sophie really seemed to enjoy it too!  Now we just have to decide what to make with the apples we picked!
